Wonderful guesthouse in the Trastevere for a Romantic Roman Trip!
The location was excellent - we love the Trastevere neighborhood. You mostly walk in Rome so this guesthouse was perfectly situated where it was easy to reach all the major sites or catch a taxi/Uber easily with a short walk! This was our third time in Rome but we were there for our honeymoon, so we didn't mind splurging a little bit for our lodging. Our hosts were incredibly wonderful! Simone and Lorena were the best and it made our stay 1000% better. We arrived really early in the morning as we were traveling from the states. The room was not yet ready (Simone said "20mins") so they fed us breakfast while Lorena wrapped up. It was great to arrive and have a room to refresh after traveling for 24 hours! They delivered and we were so incredibly grateful. The room was super comfy and the amenities excellent. Our room was equipped with A/C, wi-fi, TV, a safe, ear plugs, robes, slippers, coffee/tea and snacks plus water that got refilled every day. We booked our room with breakfast which was delicious and there were a lot of options. We started our days with cappuccinos, cornettos, eggs, yogurt and orange juice to fuel our bodies for all the walking - it was great not to have to think where we were eating our first meal of the day. The guesthouse is right next to Piazza Santa Maria en Trastevere which is very lively at night - you can see the fountain from the rooftop deck. Bathrooms are equipped with eco friendly toiletries and if you need anything, the hosts are more than obliging - including booking transportation or making reservations of any kind. On the day we left, because the traffic was so heavy that a vehicle could not drive into the Trastevere, Lorena went out of her way to walk us to the nearest Taxi line up near the river and secure us a cab for our trip to Termini Station. I will stay in the guesthouse again in the future and I would recommend it to all.
It gets pretty loud at night (and in the morning with all the glass bottles and trash collection). The windows are thick and are equipped with blackout shades, but it cannot mask all the noise outside. This is not a mark against the guesthouse as they cannot control the environment around them, just a caution for future guests. Use those earplugs! Especially if your goal is to get rest during the weekends as the crowd in the Piazza or the neighborhood in general is rowdy until the early hours.
